This show was one of the latter shows from his tremendous autumn / winter European tour. This is the "right side up and EQ'd" version which Paul has given us Racer X board members permission to upload and distribute. Here is a quick FAQ so you guys don't clutter up the comments : * Paul is playing through a Marshall Vintage Modern amp; he left Laney a bit ago. * Emi is Paul's wife. * Paul Gilbert is not Brian Carroll, and vice versa. * Paul wears isolation headphones onstage to protect his hearing. He has hearing loss, and the headphones act both as ear protection and stage monitors. * The guitar is custom-made for Paul by Ibanez; the color is sunburst finish. Like all of Paul's solidbody electric guitars with "f holes", this one has the faux F-holes. It says PGM Series on the headstock. Descrição do Vídeo: This upload is based on a request from Aliluche2 (hope you'll enjoy it)! Rodrigo is a dreadfully ungrateful role. No, it's not the quality of the music which is undeniably fine; the interest lies in the fact that, despite the fact that the part calls for a first-rate baritenor (Andrea Nozzari, Rossini's primo in this respect, originated the role), it's rather smallish: Rodrigo's part occupies only 35 minutes in a work that lasts somewhere around 2:20, making it a secondary role to most of the other cast. And, yet, it is a difficult one: the cavatina, presented here, calls for pretty much everything that a tenor is able to do, starting with soft, sustained singing in the cantabile all the way to long descents into chest notes in the opening section. I am immediately reminded of a similar situation in Meyerbeer's "Les Huguenots" which has a virtuoso cameo part for the Marguerite. Still, when the music is as good as this, does one have to complain :)? Almost forgot to mention the narrative: in the cavatina, Rodrigo, head of the Highlanders, come forth to the fortress of Douglas to finally meet his future bride, Elena. His cavatina moves steadily from triumphant appraisal of power in the opening allegro to the more romantic atmosphere that dominates the later sections. Dano Raffanti, a singer that must have specialized on the role of Rodrigo (having appeared in at least four productions during the 80s), makes a most appealing Rodrigo. Hope you'll enjoy :)! "Mr. Piano"), Joselito is a world-renowned talent who resides in Orange County, California and is available for worldwide bookings. ------------------------------------ ABOUT THE ARTIST: The Philippines' most acclaimed classical and pop pianist learned his craft at the tender age of 5 and won all top awards in various competitions held in the years that followed. At the age of 10, he was the youngest winner of the Manila Symphony Society Piano Competition. He has performed with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and the Manila Symphony Orchestra, playing two full-length piano concertos at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Philamlife Auditorium. Biography Recognized for his exceptional artistic qualities as a Classical Violin Virtuoso, Geza Hosszu Legocky was invited to take part in the first Martha Argerich Project Festival in 2002, in Lugano, Switzerland, and ever since, with the great success he regularly appears in this prestigious festival. In 2003, Geza was engaged in a closing concert of the second edition of the Martha Argerich Project, presenting himself for the first time as a leader and a founder of the ensemble "5 DeVils".
