Descrição do Vídeo: Mountain biking in the Golden Triangle. Not for the faint-hearted. After winding our way uphill on a narrow mountain track for hours, we came around a corner and drove straight into a bush fire. With no way of turning back, we had to gun the throttle and drive towards and through it at top speed, hoping it would not last too long. Our luck held, and a long 30 seconds later we came through the other side. By the time I had I found the camera, removed it from its case, turned it on and started filming, we had passed through the fire. However, I did manage to capture the final moments as the heat subsided. On the other hand, we failed to capture the reaction of the slightly miffed guys in the back of the truck who claimed not to have been consulted on the decision to drive into the blaze. The Australian was particularly distraught, obviously because Australia has a monopoly on bush fires, and to perish in one so far from home would have downright un-Australian. On the plus side, we were there illegally, and thus his ancestors would no doubt have approved........... Now that Season 8 is upon us, I know I could effortlessly create a top 50 countdown and probably STILL have difficulty narrowing it down! I originally created this Countdown during the Summer 2008 hiatus, after the Season 7 finale "Arctic." Therefore, this only goes up to the end of Season 7. To answer a frequently asked question ... YES ... I am planning to create another Countdown using all of the GLORIOUS Clois Moments Season 8 has given us, but I will wait until after the Season has completed to do that.
