Descrição do Vídeo: A very minor change in the YouTube defaults has occurred. When using the "new" or "beta" uploader, Video response are defaulted to "approve by video owner." It used to be "automatic." This seems like a fairly minor change, however, it undermines the video response system. YouTube has designed their site to make the first 24 hours of a video's life crucial in determining it's place on YouTube. The subscriber system itself, means that videos are most likely to be viewed during the first day or so. By requiring approval as a default, it may be days before the video owner sees the response to approve it. That means, the people who actually watch the original video are unlikely to ever see a response. On the other side, your subscribers are less likely to see the video you were responding to. The video response system has been a key factor in building a vlogger community, and I really believe this small, unnoticed change goes a long way in undermining that system. I generally don't complain too much about the changes YouTube makes, but I am becoming increasingly disappointed lately. Why do they want to become TV? Television sucks. I don't need another TV station. I like what YouTube has created. I don't want my entertainment force fed to me. I choose. That is the beauty of YouTube. More and more they seem to want to steer us toward the content of their choosing rather than the content of our choosing. Hello? TV was the revolution of the 1950's. Why are you attempting to go backward, rather than continuing to build on what made YouTube successful in the first place? If you want to be a TV station, why not do so? So, that's that. I encourage you all to manually change your video settings to "approve automatically video responses." Thanks. I am resolved to reach my 200 videos by 2009, which will definitely keep me posting consistently for December... but if I keep feeling the way I am feeling now, there may not be too much more after the 1st... just a heads up. Obviously, my frustration with this medium goes way beyond this one setting. Maybe it is time to go back over and see what is going on at Vloggerheads... Descrição do Vídeo: King Arthur and the Knights of Justice Part 25 In our journey to recover all the missing pieces of the Staff of Rhiothamus we wander into the tunnels that connect the Dark Citadel and Blackroot Keep. Obviously I can't fight Viper yet since I don't have Zeke's key but I try to enter Viper's room anyway just to see what Merlin will say. After grabbing the staff piece in the Citadel I backtrack and head to Blackroot to get the piece there. Neither castle is complicated - just another sign of how unfinished this game is. One thing I want to mention is that I chose this order deliberately because I am aware of a glitch that can prevent one piece of the staff from appearing if you kill Viper before collecting them all. The glitch wouldn't affect me anyway because I have all the overworld pieces but the sequence of travels over the last few videos has been a deliberate effort to re-enact what the developers probably intended for players to do: to wander all over the overworld exploring every knook and cranny first. There are 2 edits to compress time under ten minutes. They are minor - about 40 seconds of just going from point A to point B. But in this religious school in Pakistan, the boys chant the Quran before doing their exercises, and the teachers are pro-Taliban militants. In a worrying new development, children, some younger than 10 years old, are being trained as militants. They carry assault rifles, nearly as big as they are, and wear black headbands bearing Islamic slogans. This video appears to have been filmed at a madrassa - a religious school where many young students live because their parents can't afford to raise them. So madrassas have been accused of promoting extremism. The growth of child militancy in Pakistan was top of the agenda at a conference held in Islamabad. Child protection experts said poverty, the lack of education, and the growth of extremist teachings are to blame for fostering the growing wave of child militancy. The situation is particularly severe in the tribal areas that border Afghanistan. Reports persist in Pakistan that children are being brainwashed into believing they are becoming holy warriors. "Any use or exploitation of a child is unacceptable, and the time has come, since we can now feel and see the incidence of child militancy in Pakistan that we have to, and one hopes that we can do it through (??). We need to have a strong movement which says 'no' to child militancy."
