Descrição do Vídeo: That after noon was awesome. Shauna couldn:t remember having so much fun in a really long time. Although something was dragging her down .she wasn:t enjoying it as much as she could have. But she didn:t say anything. That would make Becca and Ashlynn bummed too, and she wasn:t going to ruin today for them too. Instead, she just went along with it. Becca:s took them all out to find formal dresses and masks and accessories for the masquerade that was coming up in only one day. It was Friday and they had some serious shopping to do if they were going to outshine the other stars when they met the Jonas Brothers. All eyes had to be on them. Becca found a gorgeous long, flowing, blue dress that she matched with a pair of green high heels and a green mask with peacock feathers on it. Ashlynn could barely find anything her size, lengthwise. She was constantly muttering under her breath how horrible it was to be so tall that no one had the right sized dress for you. However, eventually, she found a long maroon halter dress, with which she paired black high-heeled strappies and a plain black mask. Becca and Shauna had immediately come to the conclusion that it was too plain, so Ashlynn gave in and glued a maroon feather in the corner and a few fake diamonds that she found in her art kit when they got back into the car. Both of her best friends looked stunning, and Shauna had no doubt that they would give the stars with the professional stylists a run for their money, but they noticed right away that she wasn:t buying anything. She wasn:t even trying anything on. -What:s wrong Shauna, dear?- asked Becca:s mom when her daughter pointed out the fact to her. Becca, her mother, and Ashlynn all sat down next to her. Shauna looking at her feet shyly, trying to ignore her friends worried looks. -I can:t get any new things. A formal gown just isn:t in our budget right now. I:m going to have to wear one of Shannon:s ratty old church dresses.- Shauna tried to hold back tears. She was going to a ball, she might even meet Nick Jonas, the boy she could only have dreamed about, and she was going to look like a rag doll all because her stupid step-sisters had to go and get nose jobs so that they could be like Ashley Tisdale. And even worse, she was going with Becca and Ashlynn, who would with out a doubt be some of the most stunning people there, and she would look even worse compared to them. She couldn:t hold it in. She pretty much started a flood in the shop. People started to look at them. Ashlynn seemed to know exactly how she felt and exactly what she was thinking. She was silent for a while, staring at the tiles in the ceiling. Then she got a big smile on her face. Becca and Shauna could practically see the light bulb flash above her head. -What?- Shauna asked, wiping her eyes and trying to stop crying as best she could, the result was soaking her sleeve and sniffling a whole lot. -There is no way you are going to see the Jonas Brothers in hand-me-downs. And there is absolutely no way Becca and I are letting those evil step-sisters of yours keep you from going.- Becca nodded firmly. Ashlynn took out a credit card. Shauna looked at her, not knowing what to say to tell her how much that meant to her. -Don:t worry about it, Shauna.- Ashlynn paused for a second and thought. -Although you can:t see the dress just yet. But it will be perfect for you!- Ashlynn went over to the counter where the man in the suit that was just a bit to small for him was selling the masks. She pointed to one of them, but Shauna couldn:t see which one. A second later, the man walked out of the back room with a pair of keys in his hand. He opened the mask case and took out a white one with lace and glitter and detailed patterns {Think about the one from A Cinderella Story}. It was so elegant, Shauna wondered just what kind of dress Ashlynn had in mind to match it. Becca handed Shauna her blue dress and peacock mask in a bag. -Just so you wont look poor.- She said whit a seriousness that made Shauna crack up. Then Becca took Ashlynn:s shoes. They started out of the store, Becca:s mother just behind them. He had told her to dress nicely so she was wearing a black dress that had no sleeves and a red belt right below her chest and it stopped right above her knees. She was wearing her hair curly with a red head band and she had on strappy red stilettos. "Hey," said Becca, giving Tom a kiss on the cheek. "Wow! You look absolutely gorgeous! What happened to your hair, wasn't it straight last night?" asked Tom while escorting Becca to his car and opening the door for her. "Thank you very much. And about my hair, yesterday I straightened it. This is what my hair looks like naturally." "Well, I think it looks beautiful!" "Thanks," said Becca blushing. "You look really pretty when you blush," said Tom, causing Becca to turn even redder. "Haha!" chuckled Tom, clearly amused. The rest of the ride was pretty silent, but after they had been driving for about twenty minutes Tom reached his left hand over and held onto Becca's. It was a simple gesture, but it took Becca?s breath away. "Are you okay?" questioned Tom, who had noticed that Becca had momentarily stopped breathing. "Yeah, I'm fine," replied Becca looking into Tom's beautiful brown eyes. "Okay. We're here," said Tom, letting go of Becca's hand so he could unbuckle. He went around the front of the car to open Becca's door and took her hand and kissed it. "Why, thank you, kind sir," said Becca playfully. "You are very welcome, madam. May I escort you inside?" "You may," said Becca. She looked up for the first time at the place where they would be eating dinner. "Wow!" "Have you been here before?" "Nope." "Well, in that case, I am very honored." They just laughed at how ridiculous they sounded all the way to the desk. "Reservation for two, under Fletcher," said Tom, sounding as if he had been here a million times. The host took them back to a private table with candles and rose petals. "Tom! It's so beautiful!" squealed Becca sitting down as Tom pulled out her chair. "I'm glad you like it. I called this morning as soon as I knew they were open and they weren't exactly excited about reserving a table on such short notice, but I worked my charm and they finally gave in," babbled Tom looking at Becca without realizing he was smiling. "Thank you so much! This is the sweetest thing anybody has ever done for me!" said Becca making Tom smile even wider. "Why are you smiling?" "Huh," said Tom who was in a daze staring into Becca's eyes. "Oh um, I am? Hmm, I guess it's because I'm with you." "Awww! Tom! That is so sweet!," said Becca who was now also smiling. "I try, I try," said Tom, revealing his dimple. "I love your dimple!" "I've heard that a lot, but it means something coming from you." "Awww! There you go again, being all sweet and stuff!" "I'm not the only one at this table who's sweet," chuckled Tom. "Thanks," replied Becca, who was now blushing. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but are you ready to order?" asked the waiter, interrupting Tom and Becca's little love fest. "Umm, huh," mumbled Tom and Becca incoherently, obviously embarrassed. They ordered dinner; Tom got a steak with sauted mushrooms and onions and Becca got shrimp linguini Alfredo. They talked about their families, pets, and childhoods throughout dinner, and then the check came. Tom took out his wallet to pay, like every gentleman should and said, "This was so much fun. I'm glad you could come." "Me, too," smiled Becca. "Ummm, I was wondering if you would maybe want to come back to my place. We could watch a movie or something."
