Lucy knew what i was doing so she leaned out to kick me and accidently got joe... how do i know? all of a sudden: Joe: OWW! The seating was: Lucy Joe Nick Eliza Big Rob Anna Laney Kevin Lucy: Sorry. We ordered our food right after that. Nick: So Laney, Im sorry i didnt tell you Eliza and I were dating. I saw elizas arm move a little then Nick wince, i think she pinched his arm. [An: everyone else is engaged in another conversation and couldnt hear them] Laney: Oh, its okay, i was tired and i over reacted... i dont mind if you go out, i couldnt be happier. The way nick took it was: Im over you and i dont need you in my life so whatever. He looked hurt, but i was so hurt inside, i could care less. i just smiled that oh so fake sweet smile. We got our food and the whole time i was grilling eliza, she even ate pretty, and if your wondering i am NOT jealous. noo no no. *Lucy* i noticed Joe and Anna occasionly would say something about thier childhood together and i would spit out a fake laugh. When breakfast was over and we walked out Nick grabbed my arm and pulled me aside. Nick: nothing is working! Lucy:What do you mean? Nick: Giving her a cute nickname, making her jealous, and all that isnt doing me any good! Lucy: none of that is my advice... i said just ask her out. Nick: I will not do that! Lucy: I have my own problems! Nick: Like what Lucy?! Lucy: JOE DOESNT LIKE ME! we were whisper yelling, but that last one was a yell. Everyone turned around and i flashed a 'oh shittt' smile. Joe jogged over to me and swatted nick away. Joe: Lucy, i do like you... remember? Lucy: Joe! I said pleadingly. Joe: Whaaaaat? Lucy: But you lo-like that other girl! Joe: Anna?! Lucy: yesss Joe: shes like a sister to me.... i couldnt possibly think of her that way. Lucy: Why did you tell me what before?! Joe: I thought you felt that special bond before. Lucy: I did but i- i- i let greed take over that feeling. Joe: *sighs* Lucy... i do like you alot, but i just cant to a relationship right now. Lucy: *looks down* O-Okay. we went back to limo and i slunk into my seat. joe put his hand on mine and i smiled. *That Night* Everyone went out for icecream but I had to finished getting the stuff out of our old suite so joe offered to help. When we were finished i went into the fridge to get a water and when i turned around i saw joe standing there with his hands behind his back. Joe: Lucy? he took one hand from behind his back and held mine. Joe: I know we havent been on any dates or anything but i feel like i have butteryflies when im around you all the time so.. he got down on one knee. IS HE PROPOSING TO ME?! WTF?! Joe moved his other hand from behind his back, a dozen roses.... oh nooo. Joe: Will you... *sighs and chuckels* Whats so funny he can NOT propose to meee! Joe: Be my girlfriend? i let out all the air i was holding. Lucy: I thought you were about to propose to me!!! Joe: that was the point. He stood up brushing off his pants. We broke free and blushed and joe rubbed the back of his head fluffing his hair around. President-elect Barack Obama met today with President George Bush and three former presidents in the first meeting of living presidents at the White House since 1981. All of the gentlemen here understand both the pressures and possibilities of this office, Obama told reporters before the lunch. And for me to have the opportunity to get advice, good counsel, and fellowship with these individuals is extraordinary. Asked what he will learn from his predecessors' mistakes, Obama smiled and said he will learn from "their successes." "I think [what] we all share is that we want you to succeed. Whether we're Democrat or Republican, we care deeply about this country. And to the extent we can, we look forward to sharing our experiences with you," President Bush said. "All of us who have served in this office understand that the office itself transcends the individual -- and we wish you all the very best," the outgoing president said. Obama met with Bush for half an hour before sitting down with former presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, without any staff present. While the five men have had their vocal differences in the past, none of the tension was on display at a photo op in the Oval Office. "Although they may disagree on some policy prescriptions in order to solve problems in America, they're obviously all rooting for the same team," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said before the meeting. Afterwards, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs issued a statement: "They had a very constructive conversation," he said. "The president-elect was grateful for their counsel and the spirit of bipartisanship they showed in wishing his administration success in meeting the challenges we all share as Americans. The president and the former presidents had helpful advice on managing the office as well as thoughts on the critical issues facing the country right now. The president-elect is anxious to stay in touch with all of them in the coming years." Perino issued a separate statement, saying: "President Bush was delighted to have the former presidents and President-elect Obama to the White House today for a historic lunch in the Private Dining Room just off of the Oval Office. Each of them expressed their desire for President-elect Obama to have a very successful presidency. During the lunch, they had a wide-ranging discussion on many different issues facing the United States, and they all look forward to remaining in contact in the future." Before the meeting Perino said the meeting would likely touch on both the business and personal aspecets of living at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. "There'll be time to talk about issues that are -- face the country currently, issues that they think might face the country in the future," she said. "But I'm sure they'll also have a chance to talk about experiences and memories that they have in the White House, both on the personal side, about -- such as raising a family in the public eye, raising a family in the White House, and also what it's like to be in the post-presidency, as President Bush is about to experience in about 12 days." She added that the leaders were likely to discuss the nation's economic woes and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. President Bush and President-elect Obama have developed a good relationship, and I'm sure that it will be deepened today, Perino told reporters.
